#BEDJ - Wishlist

I love a good wishlist so I love that this is the next topic on the Blog Every Day In June list.
Does anyone ever read the intro in wishlists? I don't. Just show me the pictures!

These novelty bags from Matalan are glorious. Look at them! The ice cream and lemon slice are incredible!

I adore these recent bluesy greens dresses from Lindy Bop. I've only ever bought the Ophelia dresses and I would love to give some of these other styles a try.

And these dresses from Lady Voluptuous (top) and Polly Grace (bottom) are beautiful. I love the summery prints on all of these.

These are just a few of the things on my ever growing wishlist. What's on yours?

Plus Size International Wishlist

Have you ever seen someone wearing something that you'd really love only to find that it's from overseas and will cost a small fortune to import if they even ship internationally at all?
I've had my heart broken by so many pretty things because of this problem.

Below is a list of faves that I'd love to buy if they were available in the UK.
The list is forever changing but the bits below are what I've been coveting this week.

The UK needs a website like eShakti. As you can see above, there are some very pretty dresses (yellow flamingos? Yes please!) but that's not all. At eShakti there is not a plus size section, rather you pick a dress and pick a size. Everything for everyone. Love it. But wait! There's more! Once you've chosen your size you can choose other features. Want that dress with a different neckline? No problem. Want to remove the sleeves? Done. Is the dress too short? Just select how many inches you'd like to add.
The size inclusive customisation is desperately needed in the UK... but they don't even ship here. Sob!

And then of course there's Modcloth. Oh, Modcloth. I'm lucky enough to have had chances to buy from there in most part due to Stylish Surprise, which is an offer they do 2 or 3 times a year. An item in this offer costs $20 or less so it just scrapes below the import tax threshold. It is a lucky dip purchase though so my wishlist remains. And grows.

There are so, so many retailers not based in the UK that I'd be here all day listing them all So these are just two of my personal favourites.

Check out the bloggers below to see what they would spend all their pennies on if international shipping and duty wasn't an issue:

Wednesday Wishlist - Be My Valentine

It feels like Christmas has only just been and gone but here we find ourselves with only two and a half weeks to shop for Valentines Day. We could argue all day about whether it's a truly love-filled romantic day or if it's a way for companies to profit from another commercial holiday, but however you see Valentines Day, I can guarantee nobody will be thinking about the actual Saint Valentine, the patron saint of love and beekeepers.

Actually beekeepers are greedy little feckers and have no less than three patron saints. But I digress. If I had a lot of money, and was my own boyfriend, I'd be asking myself for all the things on todays wishlist. Which has absolutely nothing to do with bees, sorry.

love, valentines, valentines day, valentine, gift list, gifts, list, wishlist, wish list, asos, yankee, yours clothing, handbag, dress, chocolate, pizza, chocolate pizza, underwear, unicorn, teddy, cuddly toy, jewellery
1 / 2 / 3 / 4 /5 / 6 (Leopard Print here) / 7 / 8 / 9 / 10

I think I have pretty much everything covered. Red, hearts, jewellery, underwear, makeup, date night outfit, cuddly toy, chocolate, candles. I've unintentionally managed to create the most cliche Valentines list possible. Oops. All I'm missing is a dozen wilting red roses from the garage forecourt.

Cliche or not though, I'd be pretty chuffed with anything (or everything) on that list. As it is, I'll just keep my fingers crossed for a card!

Do you "do" Valentines Day? Anything on the list tickle your fancy?

Weekend Wislist Part 1: ASOS

Why do I overlook Asos so often? Their Curve selection is actually rather excellent. So, as I'm alone on a Saturday night with nothing but Doctor Who to keep me company, I thought I'd show you a few bits that are on my wishlist.

1 - 2
I've never seen leopard print as very "me" but this kind of animal print is so... charming. I love it! Especially the woodland print of the first dress. It's perfect for this time of year.

3 - 4 - 5
Checks and tartan are some more of my favourite patterns for the A/W season and I love the variety in these three dresses. I've seen the green dress on a few fellow bloggers but never got around to buying it myself. I forgot about it for a while and it's just made its way back onto my wishlist.

And just because.... Here's a bloomin magical tshirt.

Bonus Unicorn of Awesome
What are your favourites from Asos at the moment? Leave me a comment and let me know.

Yours Clothing - From The Changing Room & Wishlist

A week or so ago a few bloggers, myself included, got together and had an impromptu styling session at Yours Clothing, Bluewater. The staff were so accommodating as we hijacked the biggest changing room and went to town trying on oh so many outfits.

Me, Mookie, Heidi & Abi

I realised in that changing room that I have no black dresses. As we transition from summer to autumn, I'm feeling a need for black and monochrome but still with a taste of florals and accent colours. There are a few skater dresses fitting these themes that have caught my eye.

1 / 2 / 3
1. Black Panelled Skater Dress With Jewel Flower Necklace
I love this dress. It's so versatile. The jewel necklace really makes it stand out, however it is detachable for those time you want to dress down a bit or decorate your neck with something different. I tried this dress on and really regret not buying it now.

2. Black and Pink Tropical Floral Skater Dress With Belt
This dress is currently in the sale and most sizes are still available. I've been eyeing it up for a long time but it's never made it to the checkout and I'm not sure why. It's the perfect summer/autumn transition dress. Darker florals will be a staple for me this season I think. I refuse to ditch the florals just because the sun stops shining!

3. Black and White Panelled Skater Dress With Mesh Insert
This dress is so different to anything I currently own. I love the way this dress uses the black and white. I can't work out if you would call this a cold-shoulder dress as the white panel and the mesh yoke look entirely separate from each other, but I think that's what I really like about it. I didn't try this dress but I'd love to see what it looks like on.

Because... BOOBS.

Obviously as autumn approaches we have to look towards keeping that chill off our bods and Yours Clothing aren't short of a thing or two to help us along.

1 / 2
3 / 4
1 & 2: I'm a sucker for a lovely blazer. I've tried on the black with polka dot roll-ups before and it is so comfortable. It's not too rigid and is just a touch on the casual side of smart-casual. The length of the floral blazer looks perfect and would bring a fantastic pop of colour to a black dress like the one I tried on above.

2 & 3: Yep, I'm looking at coats already! The herringbone draped collar coat looks amazingly swooshy and I can imagine myself both buried in it for comfort and twirling it about. How cool would it look with a black dress and brightly coloured tights/leggings? The second coat just has such an unusual pattern and I absolutely love the purple. It makes such a lovely change from the plain coloured coats you'll see elsewhere.

I will be back at Yours Clothing for the opening of the Ashford store on September 5th. If you're in the area, do come along and say hello!

Money Saving Monday

As you may have seen me mention last week, I am on a self-imposed spending ban for all things fashion and beauty for July. There are a few things that have caught my eye this week that I am gutted to be missing out on but I don't need these things, so I can go without. For now!

To start with it was okay. On day 1, I just didn't think about it. On day 2, my You Beauty Discovery Box arrived. On day 3, a small free sample of Mac primer. Day 5, my gift from the Joyful June blogger gift swap.

And then yesterday. Day 6. Oh, how naughty I was yesterday.

Feel Unique currently have an active voucher code for £10 off a £25 spend (code MSEJUL14 valid until midnight Wednesday). They happen to stock my Bare Minerals foundation and I happen to be running out. So with the foundation and a Cosmo brush coming to £25.90, I would have been foolish to have missed the opportunity to get a tenner off, wouldn't I? That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

All in all I think I'm doing okay with the ban though. I didn't realize how much temptation there was to buy all the things, but the items I've seen this week that have made me think "ooh, I could do with that..." have far outweighed the two items I bought for fifteen quid. Take a look at my top 5 (in no particular order):

I love records. And I love cake. Records and cakes combined is basically a dream come true so this beauty of a cake stand from Modcloth is right up my street.

Some people (most people) say I'm slow. Or lazy. Or slow and lazy. I know how this sloth feels. You just gotta relaaaaaaaaaax.

The narwhal. Think of it as the unicorn of the sea or a big horny whale, either way it's pretty awesome and this brooch from LucysHappyPlace on Etsy is simply beautiful.

I started my Christmas shopping last month so forgive me for feeling a little festive already but I can't help but adore this Oh Deer brooch from The Crafty Show Shed on Etsy even during the summer month.

Last but most certainly not least, ever, is pretty much every swing dress available on the Lindy Bop website.
The Ophelia (right) is still my favourite but the new prints on the Audrey dresses (middle) and the stunning new Bella dress (left) give the Ophelia a run for her money.

So there you have it.
My confessions. My obsessions. And my word that I will try harder this week, I promise!

Take a look and see how the other bloggers taking part in the July spending ban are getting on:

Hump Day Blues

Happy Hump Day, my lovelies!
Is it just me or does banning yourself from something make it that much harder to resist? Had this been a normal month I probably would have gone through the past two days not really thinking about spending money. But this isn't a normal month. This is No Spend July. I have banned myself from fashion and beauty shopping which means I want to do it more than ever. Especially since the new Lady V dresses are screaming at me to buy them ALL this week.

One thing I can do is window shopping. Wishlists will get me through.
This first of probably several No Spend July wishlists, was put together because of a serious lack of pretty blue things in my possession. I hope you see something you like.

Vintage Inspired Blues

China Blue

I definitely need more blue in my wardrobe. What's your favourite dress from this wishlist?
Maybe, just maybe I'll treat myself to one of these when the ban is over. We shall see.
